New Online DYMR

Attn:  All concerned DW personnel

Subject:  New and improved Online DYMR report.

Please note that there is now a new Online DYMR in delwateronline.com.  We have actually replaced the old program with a new and better one to address reported bugs as well as to allow for new developments in our equipment leasing operations (e.g. new equipment types, fleet management concept, online booking, etc.).

Please note that although you can now view the summaries and details per yard, the new Online DYMR is still a “work in progress.” Several new features and changes will be seen in the next couple of weeks.

Please take time to check out and familiarize yourselves with our new Online DYMR.  Give us also your feedback (e.g. comments, suggestions) so we can further improve this report to be more useful and responsive to your respective needs.

If you notice discrepancies in the figures please bring it to our attention immediately.

Thank you very much.

“System Error” during EIR encoding and printing

Attention:  All concerned Yard personnel

It was brought to our attention that several EIRs dating all the way back to middle of last year are marked with a handwritten “System Error” and this has been used to justify the waiving of DM charges.

We are not preventing anybody from reporting system errors if there really are system errors.  In fact we encourage you to report system errors that you encounter.  We acknowledge the fact that from time to time we discover some system related problems and these should be rightfully labeled — and reported — as system errors.

But please report these system errors to our IT Department by email immediately (make sure I am copied) so we can also immediately address the issues.  If there are really system errors these will not be corrected unless we are made aware of them.

From some of the EIR printouts we’ve seen with “system error” handwritten on them, we have reason to believe that the term “system error” may have been used as a convenient excuse for other errors that are not necessarily caused by the system (e.g. procedural error).

Yard managers and supervisors, please discuss this thoroughly with your service advisors and encoders.  If we see a handwritten “system error” again and we establish that this was not reported to IT then we will have to assume that there really was no system error.  Any DM charges waived as a result may have to be charged to the responsible service advisor and/or encoder.

For your reference and guidance.

Thank you.

Help improve Search Engine Optimization for delwater.com

To:  All Delwater personnel

We need everyone’s help in improving the search engine optimization (SEO) of our public website, www.delwater.com, and our new alternate URL’s, www.chassis.ph, and www.chassisleasing.ph.

Optimizing our Website means that when people search for keywords related to our business (e.g. chassis rental, chassis leasing philippines) in Google or any search engine, our Website comes out among the top matches in the search results.  Our ultimate objective is to be always No. 1 in Google searches.  On the interim let’s target to be at least always in the first page of search results.

Each of us can help in achieving this goal.  You can start by making it a point to visit our public Website at least once a day.

You may immediately start by clicking on any of these links:

www.delwater.com

www.chassis.ph

www.chassisleasing.ph

To make it easier for you to visit the Website it is recommended that you bookmark it in your Web browser.

We are monitoring where the clicks are coming from so I hope to see “click throughs” from your respective locations to be increasing soon.

Thank you very much for your help and cooperation.

Tips in Searching for specific Emails in Gmail

To all: Delwater E-mail Users:

Subject:  Search Mail in Gmail

Oftentimes we encounter a lot of difficulties when we need to search for specific emails in our mail folders.  Since our email engine is powered by Gmail, we may use the following search operators to narrow down our search.

Please note, however, that these operators are applicable only if we are accessing our emails from the Gmail interface (i.e., http://mail.delwater.com).

To find messages in Gmail:

Type search terms in the Search Mail field.

Use the following operators:

subject: - Search the Subject line.

Example: “subject:bahamas” finds all messages with “bahamas” in the Subject.

from: – Search for sender name and email address. Partial addresses are okay.

Example: “from:heinz” finds all messages from “heinz@about.com”, but also all messages from “your.heinz@tqn.com”.

to: – Search the To line for names and addresses.

Example: “to:quertyuiop@gmail.com” finds all messages sent directly (not via Cc: or Bcc:) to quertyuiop@gmail.com.

cc: – Search recipients in the Cc field.

Example: “cc:quertyuiop@gmail.com” finds all messages that were sent to quertyuiop@gmail.com as a carbon copy.

bcc: – Search for addresses and names in the Bcc field. Note this only works with emails you sent to Bcc recipients from Gmail.

Example: “bcc:heinz” finds all messages that you sent with, for example, “hein@example.com” in the Bcc field.

label: – Search for messages assigned a label. (Replace whitespace characters in label names with hyphens.)

Example: “label:toodoo-doll” finds all messages labeled “toodoo doll”.

is:starred – Search for messages that are starred.

is:unread – Search for new and unread messages.

is:read – Search for messages that have already been opened.

is:important – Search for messages that are marked important for Priority Inbox.

has:attachment – Search for messages that have files attached to them.

filename: – Search within file names of attachments. You can also search for file name extensions to restrict your search to certain file types.

Example: “filename:.doc” finds all messages with word processing attachments.

is:buzz - Search for Google Buzz posts.

is:chat – Search for chats.

lang: - Search for messages in a particular language. (Specify the language in English; “Chinese” works, but “中文“, “Putonghua” or “Mandarin” do not, for example.)

Example: “lang:French” returns all emails that contain at least un peu de Français.

in: - Search in a standard “folder”. You can search in Drafts, Inbox, Chats, Sent, Spam, Trashand anywhere (for everything, including Spam and Trash).

Example: “in:drafts” finds all messages in your Drafts folder.

after: – Search for messages sent after a date. The date must be given in YYYY/MM/DD format.

Example: “after:2005/05/05″ finds all messages sent or received after (and not including) May 5, 2005.

before: – Search for messages sent before a date.

Example: “before:2005/05/05″ finds all messages sent or received on May 4, 2005 and earlier.

With Superstars enabled:

has:yellow-star – Search for messages with a yellow star.

has:red-star – Search for messages with a red star.

has:orange-star – Search for messages with an orange star.

has:green-star – Search for messages with a green star.

has:blue-star – Search for messages with a blue star.

has:purple-star – Search for messages with a purple star.

has:yellow-bang – Search for messages with a yellow exclamation mark.

has:red-bang – Search for messages with a red exclamation mark.

has:purple-question – Search for messages with a purple question mark.

has:orange-guillemet – Search for messages with two orange forward arrows.

has:blue-info – Search for messages with a blue i.

Operators and search terms can be combined with the following modifiers:

By default, terms are combined with (an invisible) “AND”.

Example: “shepherd macaroni” finds all messages that contain both “shepherd” and “macaroni”.

“” – Search for a phrase. Case does not matter.

Examples: “shepherd’s macaroni” finds all messages containing the phrase “shepherd’s macaroni”; ‘subject:”shepherd’s macaroni’ finds all messages that have “shepherd’s macaroni” in the Subject field.

OR – Search for messages containing at least one of two terms or expressions.

Examples: “shepherd or macaroni” finds messages that contain either “shepherd” or “macaroni” or both; “from:heinz or label:toodoo-doll” finds messages that either come from a sender that contains “email.guide” or appear under the label “toodoo doll”.

- – Search for messages that do not contain a term or expression.

Examples: “-macaroni” finds all messages that do not contain the word “macaroni”; “shepherd -macaroni” finds all messages that contain the word “shepherd” but not “macaroni”; ‘subject:”shepherd’s macaroni” -from:heinz’ finds all messages with “shepherd’s macaroni” in the subject that were not sent from an email address or name containing “heinz”.

() – Group search terms or expressions.

Examples: “subject:(shepherd macaroni)” finds messages that have both “shepherd” and “macaroni” somewhere in the Subject line (but not necessarily as a phrase); “from:heinz (subject:(shepherd OR macaroni) OR label:toodoo-doll)” finds all messages from a sender who has “email.guide” in their name that either have “shepherd” or “macaroni” (or both) in theSubject line or appear under the label “toodoo doll”.
